FLASHING VIA FIRMWARE
1. DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL QMK TOOLBOX:

2. DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE FIRMWARE THAT WORKS WITH VIA CONFIGURATOR:
https://caniusevia.com/docs/download_firmware
3. RUN QMK TOOLBOX.
When plugged in, press the reset button on your device.
QMK Toolbox should detect a "DFU device" connected and show a message "*** DFU device connected: ATmega32U*
Click the "Open" button at the top of the window, browse to where you saved the .hex file.
Click the "Flash" button. Messages should appear with "Success".

USING QMK CONFIGURATOR
Step 1: Select Your Keyboard
Click the drop down box and select the keyboard you want to create a keymap for.
(If your keyboard has several versions, make sure you select the correct one.)

Step 2: Select Your Keyboard Layout
Choose the layout that best represents the keymap you want to create.

Step 3: Name Your Keymap
Call this keymap what you want.
​
Step 4: Define Your Keymap
Keycode Entry is accomplished in one of 3 ways:

Drag and drop

Clicking on an empty spot on the layout, then clicking the keycode you desire

Clicking on an empty spot on the layout, then pressing the physical key on your keyboard

Step 5: Compile Your Firmware File
Press the green Compile button.
When the compilation is done, you will be able to press the green Download Firmware button.

Step 6: DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL QMK TOOLBOX:
